Is the Internet dividing us instead of connecting us?

Does the world feel less connected? Do you find yourself feeling alone sometimes?

A 2026 report by Gitnux found 73% of those aged 16 to mid-20s felt lonely at least sometimes, 61% reported serious loneliness, and 27% experience it daily. For the kind-hearted, that’s terrible news.

WHY ARE PEOPLE ALONE?

Researchers point to several factors: Heavy social media use, reduced social interactions, high pornography usage, lower rates of dating, and not pursuing long-term relationships. Young adults are facing challenges pursuing, forming, and maintaining social connections. Any stroll down the street, peer into a cavern, or night spent at the club, every man or woman has a smartphone in hand.

Don’t get me wrong! Technology has connected us in great ways. But things once made for our convenience may be dividing us.
